- 1 Pick the tooth up by the crown, never the root.
- 2 If it's dirty, rinse it briefly with water. Don't scrub it.
- 3 Gently push it back into the socket and bite on gauze. If you can't, keep it in a cup of milk.
- 4 Call us and come straight in. Don't reinsert a baby tooth; just bring it.
Toothache
- 1 Rinse with warm salt water.
- 2 Floss gently to remove anything caught between teeth.
- 3 Hold a cold compress on your cheek for swelling.
- 4 Don't put aspirin directly on the gum. It can burn the tissue.
Broken or chipped tooth
- 1 Save any pieces and rinse your mouth with warm water.
- 2 Press gauze on any bleeding for about 10 minutes.

- 1 Keep the crown somewhere safe and bring it with you.
- 2 Avoid chewing on that side.
- 3 Cover sensitive spots with dental wax or temporary cement from a pharmacy.
- 4 Never use household glue to reattach a crown.
