same - day emergency dental care
Emergency dentist in Manhattan Beach
A toothache that won’t quit, a broken or knocked-out tooth, swelling that keeps you up at night — you shouldn’t have to wait six weeks for relief. At Giant Smiles Dental, we keep same-day appointments open for patients who need care now.
Call us right away if you have…
If any of these sound like you, don’t wait it out. Call (424) 476-0349 and we’ll get you seen.
A severe toothache
Throbbing, sharp, or constant pain — especially if it wakes you up or won’t respond to over-the-counter relief.
A knocked-out tooth
Time matters most here. Keep the tooth moist and call now — teeth can often be saved within the first hour.
A broken or chipped tooth
Cracks and breaks can expose the nerve and get worse fast. We’ll relieve the pain and repair the tooth.
Swelling or an abscess
Facial swelling, a pimple on the gum, or a bad taste can signal infection that needs prompt treatment.
A lost filling or crown
An exposed tooth is sensitive and vulnerable. Bring the crown if you have it and we’ll re-secure or replace it.
Bleeding or a soft-tissue injury
A cut lip, tongue, or gum that won’t stop bleeding after 15 minutes needs to be looked at.
Not sure if it’s an emergency? Call us anyway — we’ll help you figure out the right next step.
What to do right now
A few simple steps can protect your tooth and ease the pain while you’re on your way in. Call us first — we’ll talk you through it.
Knocked-out tooth
- Hold the tooth by the crown, never the root.
- Rinse gently with water if it’s dirty — don’t scrub.
- Try to place it back in the socket, or keep it in a cup of milk.
- Call us immediately and come straight in.
Toothache
5. Rinse with warm salt water to clean the area.
6. Gently floss to remove anything trapped between teeth.
7. Use a cold compress on the outside of the cheek for swelling.
8. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum.
Broken or chipped tooth
9. Save any pieces and rinse your mouth with warm water.
10. Apply gauze to any bleeding for about 10 minutes.
11. Use a cold compress to reduce swelling and pain.
12. Cover a sharp edge with dental wax if you have it.
Swelling or abscess
13. Rinse with warm salt water a few times a day.
14. Use a cold compress on the outside of your face.
15. Don’t try to pop or drain it yourself.
16. Call us — infections need prompt professional care.
Safety note: This guidance is for comfort while you reach us — it isn’t a substitute for treatment. If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial swelling spreading toward your eye or neck, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
